Part of the Philippine Life Insurance Association, Inc. (PLIA) initiatives this year is to form a core team of PLIA volunteers, composed of one representative from each member company, who will be trained on the fundamentals of Disaster Risk Reduction & Management (DRRM).
The PLIA DRRM Team members are envisioned to have the dual role of (a) collectively representing PLIA in undertaking Corporate Social Responsibility activities related to disaster preparedness and response; and (b) taking the lead in their respective companies in transferring knowledge gained from the DRRM training.
The PLIA DRRM Team will serve as ambassadors of goodwill who can help generate increased awareness about PLIA as an association, the life insurance industry and the noble service that the industry provides in protecting the financial future of Filipino families.

The seminar is conducted by the Corporate Network for Disaster Response (CNDR) which PLIA is a member of.
