Instead of exchanging gifts with minimum value of P500 among themselves, party attendees gave cash donations to create a fund to be used to hold a Christmas party to wards of a small-sized home for the aged.
Chosen beneficiary was the Sto. Nino Home for the Aged located at Sto. Nino, Marikina. Twenty eight wards were treated to live music by the Las Cuerdas Quartet brought in by PLIA, a modest lunch fare and individual gift packs of personal provisions. The senior wards enjoyed the music from their era and a few were even able to dance along.
It was a great experience and feeling for the PLIA Secretariat to have had such opportunity to provide attention and joy to the home’s “lolos and lolas” during the holiday season.
