PLIA held its industry Christmas Party on 16 December 2019 at the Rizal Ballroom A, Makati Shangri-La Manila, with the theme “DENIM & DIAMONDS”.
Guest performer for the event was a choir from CENTEX or the Center of Excellence in Public Elementary Education, Batangas Campus. CENTEX was established by the Ayala Foundation in 1998 in Tondo, Manila, and then in Bauan, Batangas in 2000. CENTEX provides holistic, quality education for bright children from economically disadvantaged families, honing their confidence and competencies not just inside the classroom but also through after-hours learning in the performing arts and other skill-building activities.
As part of the program’s audience engagement, a table contest called “Dress Up Your Denim Jacket” was conducted. This involved each table being provided with identical denim jackets which had to be decorated using a similar set of supplies. The winning entry is the one with the most creative, appealing and interesting look.
In his opening message, PLIA president Benedict Sison said:
“… Sure, we always have our share of challenges that confront the industry, but rather than faze us, they only make PLIA stronger as our unity in purpose and vision for the industry enable us to work together as one in addressing them.
So, let’s set aside the worries for the moment; make the most of what this evening offers; enjoy each other’s company; and implore our lucky stars to let us win our coveted raffle prizes.

Everyone came home a raffle prize winner. The top three major prizes given away were a 50″ TLC 4K UHD Smart TV, Apple IPAD 2019, and Samsung A50S Cellphone.
