The Philippine Life Insurance Association (PLIA) held the induction ceremony for its 2026 Board of Directors and Committee Chairpersons on January 30, 2026 at The Glasshouse, New World Makati Hotel.
Insurance Commissioner Reynaldo Regalado served as inducting officer and Department of Finance Secretary Frederick Go graced the event as guest speaker.
PLIA President for 2026, Sjoerd Smeets, President & CEO of Eastwest Ageas Insurance, laid out in his acceptance speech the key initiatives for the year and highlighted the significant role that the committees play in helping the Board steer the path forward for the industry.
